“A cosmic reset”

American Cancer Society, March Photo Challenge #18
“A cosmic reset”

When I started the American Cancer Society Photo Challenge, I had this day marked on the calendar as a checkpoint for the challenge, as well as my blog. The past two weeks, I wanted to share parts of my journey that shaped my beliefs and bring awareness to a Great Cause.

The American Cancer Society, March Photo Challenge is giving me an opportunity to tap into emotions that I have pushed aside for years. (When we watch someone struggle to heal, or we lose an important person in our lives due to cancer, it changes how we view our time on earth.)

Every healthy moment becomes a gift, and what we do with that moment becomes the most important aspect of who we become. —

Later this evening “a cosmic reset” will take place with the final New Moon before the spring equinox begins in the northern hemisphere. This is a time to reflect on the past, look for new ways to be creative in the future, and take on new beginnings for the season to come. (In my mind I have been working on this blog for over a year now and have only recently started to put my thoughts into action. I blame my perfectionist ways, but I was not finished putting the pieces together to explain my journey.)

Now, I have what I need to proceed with my vision for this blog.—

When you explain to other people that you are an energy healer, it will usually go two different ways; most people are in disbelief because this is not “normal in society,” or they will tell me about their pain, and I will do my best to pull out the blocks that prevent them from healing.

To those in disbelief or have apprehension towards someone being an energy healer, I just want you to know that I also understand your perspective. Humans for generations have been selling “snake oil” to others with no regard for what they are selling and even if their product works at all.

The thing about energy healing is, it is not a magic pill that makes everything heal instantly. I can provide relief to the blockage of pain that sits in your body or aura, but to heal completely it is a lengthy process of making the changes to correct the imbalances that cause pain to your body.
Taking out the block is only the first step in the process. —

Once the healing channel opened and I was able to remove pain blockages, I have been helping friends and family members to learn about how energy healing works as well as how another person’s energy will affect me in my daily life.

There are two women in my life that I have spent time and energy to heal. Rebecca is the primary person I have worked with on multiple occasions. (Rebecca’s blog post explains it from her perspective, and she is working on a follow-up to explain how she has implemented changs to aid in her healing process.)

The second woman is a close friend, and her healing journey is much like Rebecca’s. I do not want talk about her situation until the time is right, but she is partly responsible for this blog and how it has shaped my views on the healing process.

When I was going through the process of healing my close friend, I was just starting to take my journaling seriously. We had gone home to visit friends and family when my friend asked me, “why I was growing my hair out,” so I explained that I was an energy healer and without a second thought she asked me to help her heal.

Because healing is tedious process, it took a couple of sessions to pull out the different blocks that caused her pain. Between sessions she would need to heal before we could pull out another block.
While I was healing my friend, I was doing my best to keep a journal of the events so I could go back if I needed any reminders of what I was going through.

After the few sessions with my friend, I finished the journal and went back to read what I had notated and thought, this journal was not so much about my thoughts, but about my friend’s healing journey. The next trip back home, I offered her my journal so she could understand more about our collective healing journey.

At our last get together, my friend lets me know that my journal is still helping her get through the process of healing and she says, “this journal could help other people.” (I really do not recall the things I wrote about in that journal, but what she did offer me was a perspective of sharing my journaling in a blog.) —

Over the next month, I am planning to share my blog with my friend and see if she is okay with sharing her story or parts of her story so we can collaborate to help others through the healing process.
I will still be sharing my daily American Cancer Society post as well as any thoughts or stories that “feel right” until March 31st. After the challenge is concluded, I was not planning to share my thoughts daily but only put out a couple of blog posts a week. This way I can still share my journey of healing as well as share how people are progressing through the healing process to bring awareness to others who are looking to heal but are not sure where to start.

ONE Love john
