ONES Insignificant space.

ONES Insignificant space.

A safe space is like a hidden fishing hole; a place you hope other people will never find but it is a nice feeling to share with a friend.

This is my safe space. A place where the “good memories” overpower every negative thought my mind can create. As an introverted perfectionist, I do not share my space with people; but one perception of another is all based on perspective.

We all see different things when we look at an image. The things that you might see do not have the same meaning as they do to me. Where a picture or trinket has no value in your world, all these insignificant items have built my foundation of peace.

In this lifetime it is important to do the things that make you happy and peaceful. When you worry about things you bring these worries into your safe space and a safe space is only as good as what you create in your mind.

I have spent years doubting myself and any creative talent, pictures stay hidden on memory cards and journal passages tucked way on a shelf. All this to protect myself from future events that I make up in my mind.

This is why I wanted to change my perspective. Approach my journal as a blog that I can share my journey of healing and love with anyone who wants to take the time to read my thoughts and feelings. Sharing something out of LOVE is much easier than trying to force a perception that is hard to sustain over time.

ONE valuable lesson I learned is: any time you have a negative thought about yourself or your talents, think of three positive things you like about yourself. (I did this for a couple of weeks before I stopped thinking negative about myself.)

Stay Positive, Stay Peaceful, ONE Love john!

PS.
Do not let your first attempt at something deter you from what might bring you joy.
