After losing my Bestman early on my journey, there was a wound that stayed with me for years after his passing and it was not until the world re-opened post covid before I would start to heal that area of my life.
My Bestman was my energy equal. (I believe he possessed stronger abilities working with energy, but the generational trauma he experienced throughout his life compounded with the loss of his cousin and closest ally throughout much of his life, the pain of the trauma proved to be too much, and he turned to liquid therapy to cope with life.) When you meet your energy equal, they find a way to ‘get the best version of you’ to come forward so that you get to experience your best life.
People like this are hard to find and you need to be energetically ready to manage the connection. So, when Benn walked into my life one cold Monday night in December, I knew that my wound was going to be healed, but what I failed to notice in the moment was the layers of pain and trauma that sat right below the surface of my new best friend.
In the moment, our friendship connection was instant but since we both suffered from unhealed pain. We allowed the friendship to grow slowly over time, one trusting, healing day at a time.
This went on day by day for close to a year before Benn started to ask questions about my journey and why my life did not fit the masses. (One thing with Benn is, he will ask a question and when he gets the answer his mind is quickly onto the next topic. In the early days I was never sure if he were listing or lost in his own mind, but I would later come to find out he “feels the situation” in the same way that I do.) After our conversation around my healing ability, Benn did not fit into either category of reaction that typically receive. He casually asked a couple of questions then quickly moved on to the next topic.

Healing is not always a physical exchange of energy and for the next couple of months Benn and I really started to bond. We share a love for cars and travelling the backroads of North Carolina and Virgina and spent a good amount of our friendship enjoying moments talking and driving. (This was the space that allowed Benn and I to heal. No judgement about our journeys, only a lighthearted conversation about life and finding peace though chaos.)
Over the course of the next year, Benn and I will get together and share more of our healing journey when he feels comfortable and more settled in his peaceful space. What I did to share with you is the first time Benn asked me to heal an old injury that he experienced while driving the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The above picture is one of the twists and turns of the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you are unfamiliar with the road, it is a two-lane road that takes you up and down, around and under the Mountains. It spans 469 miles and connects that Shenandoah National Park to the Great Smoky Mountains.
To an auto euthenist or anyone looking for a peaceful drive through the mountains, it is the road to travel. (Always check local road closures if you decide to visit the most visited road in the National Park System in the United States.) Since moving to the area, I have spent a good amount of time traveling this road and I can tell you that it takes a toll on your body. The last ride we were able to experience was from North Wilkesboro to Asheville and took five hours to complete. This was not long before Hurricane Helene caused extensive damage to the area and I am patiently waiting for another opportunity to enjoy that drive.

Benn experienced his injury while taking the drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and being that it was his left hand he did not think much of the injury all the time. Yet, when the pain would flair up it would cause him to experience heated tension and tightness that would last for days. He lived with this on and off for close to a year and a half, then one day he had enough of the pain.
Up until this moment, Benn and I did not talk about my healing ability and to be honest a healing ability is something that has taken me years to understand or even talk about openly. I was not sure if our friendship would last past the disclosing of my ability, but since we never spoke further about the situation and we remained friends long after we had the healing conversation, I never expected Benn to softly ask me to help with his arm pain. I could tell that he was still skeptical but at this point he had nothing to lose if it worked and if it did not what is one more person telling lies in society today.
We talked about what happened to cause the injury and he advised me it is a driving injury that was caused by the Blue Ridge Parkway. We took the drive together not long after we connected (above picture) but he started to experience the pain on a drive he took in the fall prior to us meeting.
We sat down and Benn laid his left hand down on the table and I covered his primary area of pain with my hand. It only took seconds to feel the pain that he was experiencing and the heat radiating off his injury was the second hottest pain I had felt. (The first was a firecracker that blew up inches from the eye of an acquaintance and the pain from that injury lasted in my palm for close to two weeks.)
Thankfully, no karma associated with Benn’s Blue Ridge Parkway injury and the pain was removed quickly and easily. After I pulled the pain pin out of his arm, I could feel the energy start to pull from a couple other places on Benn’s body and aura field. I told him that we would need to complete a couple more healing sessions if he wanted me to work on the other injuries that cause him pain. The other injuries are more karmic in nature than just a simple driving injury and will require Benn to find a peaceful energetic balance to allow the pain blocks to be removed.

When I told Benn that I was writing this journal entry and asked him how his arm was feeling, his response was all an energy healer wants to here; “I have not thought about that pain since the day you healed me, and I am almost ready for you to help me with my other injuries.”
Healing is a long road with twists and turns like the Blue Ridge Parkway and one that I am thankful to share with you.
ONE Love john
